Party Planning and Pricing
How far in advance do I need to reserve the party?
Nickelodeon Universe birthday parties must be booked a minimum of one week in advance.
Do I have to include myself in the total number of guests if I have an Annual Pass?
Yes, all attendees count toward the specified guest maximum.
Are adults complimentary?
Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park Birthday Parties: chaperones are included in the price of the party area rental but are not required to add on a Nickelodeon Universe Unlimited Ride Wristband if they do not plan to ride the rides.
PAW Patrol Adventure Bay Birthday Parties: chaperones do not need to pay to attend the party.
What is the cancellation policy?
No refunds are given. In the event of a cancellation, a credit towards a future party will be issued that must be used within one year.
What is the maximum capacity?
Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park Birthday Parties: the space can accommodate birthday parties with up to 50 attendees.
PAW Patrol Adventure Bay Birthday Parties: the space can accommodate birthday parties with up to 30 attendees.
How much does it cost for an additional guest?
Please see the birthday party booking tool for the latest prices for additional guests.
Can we extend our party room time?
Party time extensions are currently not available.
When is the last day to make changes/add-ons?
Most add-ons can be added up to one business day before your party.
What are the discounts for annual passholders?
Thrill Seeker level annual passholders receive a discount. This discount is 30% off the standard package price and excludes add-ons.
Food and Beverage
Can I bring outside food and beverages?
Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park Birthday Parties: outside store-bought birthday cake and cupcakes are permitted. All other food and beverages must be from within Mall of America. Please find the MOA dining guide linked here.
PAW Patrol Adventure Bay Birthday Parties: no food is permitted inside the PAW Patrol Adventure Bay attraction. Guests can enjoy food outside the play area.
Are birthday candles allowed?
No, they are not allowed for fire safety reasons.

Where is the party area in Nickelodeon Universe located?
Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park Birthday Parties: Level 2, South just above the Toy Store. There is signage at the party area entrance to help your partiers find their way.
PAW Patrol Adventure Bay Birthday Parties: Level 1, in the Northeast corner of Nickelodeon Universe.
What gift does the birthday child receive?
Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park Birthday Parties: the birthday child receives one free five-hour Unlimited Ride Wristband.
PAW Patrol Adventure Bay Birthday Parties: the birthday child receives one free five-hour Unlimited Ride Wristband.
What are the themed birthday party decorations for the Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park Birthday Party Package?
SpongeBob SquarePants or PAW Patrol plates and napkins.
Is there a secure area for belongings such as jackets, gifts, and purses before/after the party room time?
No, there is not.
Does the party group get to skip the lines for rides?
No, they do not.
What characters are available for add-on visits?
Characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Blue’s Clues & You and more shows can visit your party. Character choices are subject to availability and top choices are not guaranteed. A Nickelodeon Universe group sales representative will reach out to confirm your visit after booking.
Where do my guests go if they arrive before/after me?
Party guests can meet in the party area beginning at the designated party time.
Can we stay at Nickelodeon Universe after the party time is over?
Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park Birthday Parties: Yes. The 5-hour ride time begins when each wristband is scanned at the first ride. Wristbands can be used during or after the designated party area time.
PAW Patrol Adventure Bay Birthday Parties: Yes. Guests will need to vacate PAW Patrol Adventure Bay after the one-hour party time, but Nickelodeon Universe wristbands or points passes can be purchased on-site for you to enjoy the park for additional time.
