Team Members must be at least 16 years of age.
Mall of America requires that all job applicants successfully pass a pre-employment drug test. Testing is conducted according to applicable Minnesota Law.
Mall of America is open 364 days a year (every day except for Christmas Day). This means our Team Members must be flexible with their schedules. Since our guests visit us during the days, nights and weekends, Team Members may be asked to work a variety of shifts to provide the best possible service at all times.
Mall of America offers positions to work with your schedule, including:
- Part-time (PT) – Team Members are scheduled a minimum of 30 hrs. per month.
- Full-time (FT) – Team Members are scheduled a minimum of 34 hrs. a week, preferably more, on a regular basis.
- Seasonal (SE) – Team Members are hired specifically for a limited time period.
Getting to Work
We’re located in Bloomington, Minnesota just 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul. Many bus and lightrail schedules run regularly to Mall of America.

Since more than one million guests visit Mall of America each year, we’re looking for outgoing, friendly, motivated individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced, service-based environment. These individuals will work together as a team to provide a truly amazing experience for our guests.
Mall of America Grooming Standards
Specific grooming standards have been established in order to preserve a clean, safe, family-friendly environment. All Mall Of America team members, whether you have continuous, limited or no guest contact, are expected to follow the grooming standards. Uniforms may be required for some positions.
- Tattoos must not be visible. Bandages, cosmetics and hair are not considered acceptable for covering tattoos. Tattoos on the neck, hands and wrists are not permitted.
- Hair may be dyed but must be a natural color. Highlights/lowlights are permitted as long as they are a natural color.
- Hair must be clean and well-maintained. Longer hair may need to be pulled back to maintain safety standards. Locked hairstyles are fine as long as they are neat and well-maintained. Mohawks and other extreme styles are not allowed.
- Facial hair must be kept short and well-maintained.
- Earrings are allowed. Men’s earrings must be posts and not exceed a quarter of an inch. Filled plugs must be worn by anyone with gauged piercings.
- A single nose piercing is allowed in the nostril only. Other facial piercings may not be worn.
- Fingernail polish, acrylic or gel nails and other fingernail overlays are allowed. Please keep nails clean and well-maintained.
